Transitions
The transitions I used were a fade to white, wipe, and a fade to black.
These transitions were used to demonstrate a wide range of different topics. Initially, the spotlight shined on my fitness journey. The video begins with me performing conventional pushups. Then, the transition, a subtle fade to white, seamlessly showed a display of my agility with me transitioning into a series of jumping jacks.
Shifting gears, the second transition is to a moment of shared enthusiasm as my friend is watching content on his phone. That is where I used the wipe. Utilizing this wipe transition, the screen acted as a curtain, unveiling the contagious excitement emerging for his reactions to the captivating content on his phone. This transition aimed to capture the shared moments of joy that often showcases the high school experiences which should create a relatable film.
In a deliberate twist, this little film takes a suspenseful turn, steering away from the initial lightheartedness. The transition signaled a shift from personal joy, to a sense of unease. The video captures looking around franticly which builds the atmosphere of anticipation. Suddenly, the film fades to black, creating a momentary void, then it is unveiled with a humorous twist. It was my friend who was attempting to startle me. That unexpected turn added an element of comedic relief.
To end everything off, To shoot this little film, I used iMovie. The process of editing was time consuming and kind of annoying because, I couldn't find the right way to put everything together so it looks and sound smooth. After I figured that out, everything started to go really smooth. Despite the amount of time it took me to finish this, the final product emerged as a testament to my creative process and I feel that these transitions came out great.
